Oxford Castle Events
Oxford Castle hosts free dance displays throughout Saturday and Sunday, with drop-in Craft Sessions for children at the Castle's Education Centre, as well as dance workshops in the garden marquee.
This is the hub of all our outdoor entertainments, and the site from which, at 11am on Saturday, our grand street parade sets out to flood the city centre with colour.
Oxford Castle is the city's oldest new quarter, once home to the infamous Oxford Prison and now home to an exciting hub of 8 restaurants, as well as the gorgeous Malmaison Boutique Hotel.
The Castle also has an exciting visitor attraction 'Oxford Castle Unlocked' where the secrets of the castle have been unlocked, revealing episodes of Violence, Executions, Great Escapes, Betrayal and even Romance. For art lovers there is the O3 Gallery, with a dynamic programme of exhibitions all year round.
